Lucille Lehr is a multidisciplinary artist, residing between Berlin and Sydney, focusing on how performance and identity manifest into our social, political, and personal lives.

She examines the extremes of human emotion and habit through traditional and contemporary mediums, and deconstructs these codes, by which our psychology exists, by interrogating the conventionalities and myths of beauty, gender, and certainty.

.

She has a double major in ‘Philosophy’ and ‘Performance and Theatre’ from the University of New South Wales (2013), and a diploma in ‘Design’ (TAFE, 2009). She worked at the Art Gallery of New South Wales (2014-2016), and has been creating and performing performance art, internationally, since 2013.

Lucille was born in New Zealand and grew up with German parents in Australia. She has been drawing, painting and creating, without a single month off, since the day she could hold a paintbrush.
